Artist Statement

As a third-generation artist from Estonia, creativity is in my roots—but it's also something I’ve cultivated through years of thoughtful exploration and hands-on practice. I create small series of ceramic works from my studio in Malling, Denmark, where each piece is a balance of rustic elegance and quiet functionality. Every bowl, vessel, or object I make is either wheel-thrown or hand-built, and individually painted with glaze patterns—never repeated, always unique. I see them as small pieces of art—functional, yet telling stories through form, texture, and earth-toned color.

My style is minimalist, nature-inspired, and organic. I’m drawn to the imperfections and subtle variations that only handmade objects carry. The pieces are meant to be lived with—held, used, and placed like tiny sculptures throughout the home. I believe that good design speaks softly but leaves a lasting impression.

With over 15 years of experience as a graphic designer and a background in illustration and painting, my creative practice extends beyond clay. I also create giclée prints, original artworks, postcards, and hand-printed textiles—each medium feeding into the other, keeping my imagination fluid and full of life.

Educated in art, art education, and psychology at Tallinn University, I’m fascinated by the emotional connection people form with everyday objects. My work has been featured internationally, from the pages of Sundance Catalog and Juliet Contemporary Art Magazine to design blogs and interior publications around the world.

At the heart of it all, I make things I would love to live with—objects that bring a tactile sense of calm, character, and natural beauty into our homes.
